8th Newbury BrowniesWe meet each Thursday evening during term time, in the St. Richard's room at St. John's Church in Newbury. We start at 6pm and finish at 7:30.
The Unit Guider is Hedgehog, the Assistant Guider is Fox and our Unit Helper is Badger. We also have help from our two Young Leaders, Dolphin & Jellyfish, plus we have a very supportive parent rota system. Brownies Win West Woodhay Garden Show Competition
8th Newbury Brownies won 1st prize in the 2011 West Woodhay Garden Show Container Competition which was themed to Grow A Rainbow.
Raven built a curved trellis to secure our plants to, while the Brownies coloured bluebirds, lemon drops and stars and made gold coins and hama bead flowers to decorate the pot.
All the Brownies had great fun planting the flowers while Hedgehog and Fox had the task of delivery all the parts to the show and putting it together. To see the other prize winners click here.
